How Online Music Production Courses Work

Once you book the course using the steps below we will contact you to arrange a set-up call and help you install a free program called Zoom. You will need to have the Logic software (available in the app store) installed on your computer and an internet connection for the lessons to work.

We recommend taking at least two sessions a week. We expect his slots to sell out so book now!

Ben is available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Course Duration & Fees

The course content is the same as our normal music production one-to-one course with beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Each level is £329 and consists of four two-hour lessons with accompanying videos and notes. You can also switch between offline and online lessons anytime in the future.

There are four two-hour lessons in the Beginner level and it's the same for both the Intermediate and Advanced. We recommend booking two or more lessons a week but the times you choose is up to you, you're in control of your own learning schedule.

What You Will Learn

This course is designed to teach you all the theory and skills you need in order to use Logic Pro to produce your own professional tracks. Once you have completed the Advanced level and graduated you will join our community of DJs, promoters and producers and be able to submit your tracks to LSA Records for release.

About Your Tutor Ben Smith aka S.M.I.T.H

S.M.I.T.H is a London based DJ/Producer with a style of house that has a minimal rolling groove and influences of soul/disco, setting himself aside from the rest with his unique style of mixing and track selection with a twist of vinyl, every time he gets on the deck's you are sure to be impressed with the technical aspects of his mixing, and style, ranging from summery house through to up beat tech and minimal.

He has performed at many venues across London such as Studio 338, Ministry of Sound, Egg London, Lightbox/Fire, We Are FSTVL and at super clubs Eden and Sankey's on the white isle just to name a few.

S.M.I.T.H is a name to look out for in the near future with his own music production too, you can hear him playing the majority of his own music in his set’s when he plays out but also on his most recent release’s.

Now with a number of EP and single release’s under his belt, his last two both hit the top 3 on Beatport, and he has many more release's scheduled already for 2020 on some really respected and established labels. Be sure to keep an eye out for whats to come.

In terms of his production S.M.I.T.H has always been influenced and inspired by old Jazz/Soul/Funky vibes which you can hear elements of in lots of his tracks to create his unique groove.

Aside from his personal music career he Co-Owns a record label, turning one of Londons well established parties, that being Domus, into not only an events brand but a fully functioning record label called DOMUS Music, which has now had countless top 5 Beatport chart releases. Be sure to keep track of this label as their future releases include some huge names that you will not want to miss out on.
